There are 5 divisions in the Library Collection

COLLECTIONS:

There are 5 divisions in the Library Collections:

1.    General Collections

2.    Reference Works (non-circulating reference works are shelved in the Reference Room). Duplicates and older versions of some of these materials are placed in the Main Collection for check-out.

3.    Children’s Books are catalogued and shelved using the letter C and 2 or 3 letters of the author’s last name.

4.   Youth (Y), includes fiction and non-fiction works. They are catalogued and shelved using the letter Y and 2 or 3 letters of the author’s last name.

5.   Young Adults (YA) includes fiction and non-fiction works (books are catalogued and shelved according to Dewey Decimal System.
