YOUTH TEAM

Our goal is to provide a creative, kid-friendly space where kids will learn to live the life God desires for them. The Youth Team coordinates activities for the Middle School and Senior High School age youth as well as the Lightshine Youth Choir, and the College Age Ministries.  The Associate Pastor for Youth and Children serves as the staff liaison for this team.  

PURPOSE:  To nurture our youth from both mid-high and senior-high school levels to develop a closer relationship with Jesus Christ.

DESCRIPTION OF MINISTRY:

·         Guide

·         Provide chaperones for activities both at the church and in the community

·         Co-ordination of volunteers for the annual rummage sale in March which provides funds for the youth event   

ACTIVITIES:

·         Montreat Senior High Youth Conference

·         Middle School Summer Conference

·         Lightshine Choir Tour

·         Presbytery retreats and events·

·         Facebook group “TPC Youth”

·         Weekly fellowship and Bible studies 

SKILLS AND TALENTS:

·         Need to have a passion for the children and youth in our church to help them grow in Christ  

INVOLVEMENT REQUIRED:

·         Team meets once a month for an hour. Additional time commitment as needed for events and special programs
